Pupil Roles

At our school, we believe that every pupil should take an active role in becoming a responsible citizen. We do this through many exciting opportunities for pupils and empowering them to take ownership, develop leadership skills and contribute positively to our school and the wider community.

School Council: Our School Council is made up of two elected representatives from each class. They meet regularly to discuss ideas and suggestions for improving our community. The School Council helps to make decisions about school events, charity fundraisers, and other important matters. They are the voice of the pupils and work closely with teachers and staff to make our school a better place for everyone.

Eco Council: Our Eco Council is passionate about caring for the environment. They lead initiatives to reduce waste, promote recycling, and encourage eco-friendly practices throughout the community. From organizing litter picks to planting trees, the Eco Council is dedicated to making a positive impact on our planet. They inspire fellow pupils to be mindful of their environmental footprint and to take action to protect our natural world.

Buddies: Buddies are older pupils who support and mentor younger students, especially those who are new to the school or transitioning into a new year group. Buddies help younger children settle into school life, answer their questions, and provide friendship and support during playtimes and lunch breaks. They are role models who embody kindness, empathy, and inclusivity, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among all pupils.

Sports Leaders: Our Sports Leaders are enthusiastic about promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. They assist teachers during PE lessons, support during sports events and encourage participation in sports and fitness activities. Sports Leaders demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, inspiring their peers to stay active and enjoy the benefits of exercise and sport.

Chaplaincy Team: The Chaplaincy Team is made up of Year 6 pupils. It plays a vital role in promoting spiritual and moral development within our school community. The Chaplaincy Team fosters a culture of respect, tolerance, and understanding. They lead collective worship sessions and support the Catholic Life of the school. The Chaplaincy Team embodies our school values of kindness and respect, nurturing a sense of spirituality and community spirit among pupils and staff alike.

At our school, we empower pupils to take on leadership roles and responsibilities, nurturing their talents, skills, and aspirations. Through teamwork, creativity, and dedication, our pupils make a positive difference in our school and beyond, shaping a brighter future for themselves and their peers.
